After a weeks-long trial and three days of jury deliberations, Democrat Senator Bob Menendez of New Jersey and two co-defendants were found guilty on all counts in a federal bribery and corruption case.
Menendez had pleaded not guilty to the federal charges that he accepted multiple bribes to help foreign governments. Hundreds of thousands of dollars, plus gold bars and lavish gifts, had been found in various locations throughout Menendez’s house in New Jersey.
